  2. Children under the age of 6 must be accompanied by an adult.

  3. The parade will start at exactly 11:00 a.m. You will hear a siren 5 minutes till. At that time, you must attend your vehicle and/or float. Then get in position and be ready to move!

  4. There will also be a siren at 11:00 a.m. to start the parade, which will signal the start of the procession. Follow the direction of the Parade Coordinator(s).

  5. Keep a safe distance between yourself and the person or vehicle you are following.

  6. Maintain the speed of the parade. If your vehicle and/or float has a problem, please pull to the side of the road so that the parade can proceed.

  7. Absolutely NO alcoholic beverages or recreational drugs are allowed.

  8. NO inappropriate language allowed.

  9. NO PA Systems to be used before the parade, other than a brief test. NO PA Systems to be used after the parade until the Flag Day Ceremony has been completed. All music (excluding the school bands) or announcements must be played at a reasonable level or at the direction of the Parade Coordinator(s). This is so the Master of Ceremony can be heard announcing the participants in the parade. Also, the school bands need to be heard while processing/marching down the street.

  10. ALL POLITICAL VEHICLES AND/OR FLOATS WILL BE PLACED AT THE BACK OF THE PARADE LINEUP.

  11. Once you have completed the parade route, please take your vehicle and/or float back to the parade staging area (Salem Elementary School). Only those previously given permission may continue to the Flag Day Ceremony (ex. Color Guard, American Legion, school bands, etc.)
